 Cowboy Music’s Joe Walus Releases
 "Just A Cowboy" CD

 by Cindy K. Roberts

Cowboy recording artist Joe Walus released his latest CD titled "Just A Cowboy".  Wyoming High Country Trail Ride’s entertainment choice is an excellent pick, as Joe Walus is one talented cowboy.  Tie up your horse, hobble your mule, sit down and prop your boots in front of the cd player to listen to the greatest sound of folk guitar, harmonica and mandolin strings under the western starlit sky.  If your only cd player is in your pick up truck, then go sit in your truck, slide in the disc and hear the professional recording of this talented cowboy music recording artist.

"Just A Cowboy" is from Big Spur Productions with  crystal clear recordings of 12 cowboy songs of which 4 of those songs were written by Joe Walus himself. Backup vocals are done by  Don Denny (Just A Cowboy) and Joe's very pretty wife Pam Walus...the boss of the outfit. Pam also helps Joe produce his cds from their in home recording studio.  Roundup In The Spring and The Dying Cowboy of Rimrock Ranch are my favorites and once again, Pam comes through with elegance on her backup vocals.

His first CD “Singin’ In The Saddle” was released in 2003.  Next, "Ride Into The Past"...another spectacular cowboy song collection from Joe Walus was released.

I saw Joe Walus perform a while back in the nighttime wilderness on top of a Wyoming mountain. The twinkling stars accompanied a crisp, cool night with mule deer grazing in the lower meadow . A distant howling coyote was just the perfect  setting for listening to Cowboy Music.  To witness Joe’s performance... made me feel like a little cowgirl all over again.  Songs such as Old Paint, Streets Of Laredo, Cowboy Jack and Big Texas Moon were so convincing to the cowboy soul that you wouldn’t take your boots off.  (Pictured right Joe Walus and Cindy K. Of course this CD has a warning label. I have to be honest about this:  if you long to be ridin' on the prairie (and most of us do) then the songs on the "Just A Cowboy" cd will make you homesick for the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming.

Joe Walus can be contacted through email at horsey3@bayland.net and through his web site www.joewalus.com .   We’ll see you down the trail.
