My name is Cindy Roberts, head honcho and developer of Every Cowgirl's Dream. My web site is a passionate testimony to my equine skills and knowledge that is useful to mule owners. Here, you will find that my adventures have taken me to diverse western events and trail rides.  I've been a busy creature, that is why my web site is indexed with over a thousand pages, so be sure to drink plenty of water while you are amusing yourself at the keyboard. If you are short on time, use the search section below.  If I can assist you in anyway, I'd love to hear from you.  Enjoy and keep riding!

Every Cowgirl's Dream is a supporter of maintaining and preserving our equine trails for our future children, through organizations such as  BACK COUNTRY HORSEMEN .

Gant - Larsen Ranch Gypsum Hills Trail Ride 2010  CARRY'S CAVALRY RIDE

Cowboy got to be a real horse on this ride, as we rode at the Gant-Larsen Ranch in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.  Surrounded by 10,000 acres of God's country, this is a ride for the adventure seeking trail rider.

Meet Robert Larsen, the man, the myth, the
 legend of Gant-Larsen Ranch located in
 Medicine Lodge, Kansas.  Robert's
 grandfather started the ranch that is filled
 with some amazing history.  Roberts is riding
 a young mare that he is finishing out for his 5
 year old granddaughter.  Robert says the all
 women's ride is fun and a little different
 compared to the other rides. It is fun as in
 cowgirl fun, bar none.

Robert gives instructions to the ride prior to departing.  Don't forget your lunch and pack plenty of water.  No you won't need your lipstick on this ride for today.

Brown Betty the mule and our drag boss, Mark will get you back to the ranch every time.  Mark says he doesn't need a GPS, because he rides a mule.  (Pretty clever.)

Of course you have to shoot the bull while riding with this bunch. Robert is successful with his cattle operation and that explains the license plates on the ranch vehicles, "EAT BEEF."

Calories, what's that?  This is a cowgirl breakfast made over campfire.

My camp neighbors adopted me after a day or two of close study.  They don't just ride with anyone, they say.  These cowgirls were fun to be with.

This is the perfect location for a Cracker Barrel Restaurant, what do you think?

Molly and her paint mule enjoy the outdoors so much, that they homesteaded for a week before the ride started.  (Atta girl!)

Add some well-broke mules to the mix and what more could you want?

After dinner, Purina Mills hosted a seminar about nutritional needs.  Prizes were given.

The rides occur over the same land once roamed by the five Great Plains Indian Tribes. A multitude of wildlife including white tail and mule deer, wild turkey, coyote, and bobcat are often  spotted on the trail.

Her Daddy gave her first pony;
Then told her to ride.
She climbed high in that saddle;
Fell I don't know how many times.
Taught her a lesson that she learned -
Maybe a little too well.

Cowgirls Don't Cry.
Ride, baby, ride.
Lessons in life are going to show you in time;
soon enough your gonna know why,
it's gonna hurt every now and then
if you fall get back on again;  Cowgirls don't cry.  (Brooks & Dunn)

No one, threw a shoe or broke a nail and by the way, Kansas is not flat.  Come see for yourself.  Thanks Robert and Mark for a great trail ride!
